Welcome to the home page of the Adams Avenue Business Association

Mission: To promote and increase commercial activity within the
Adams Avenue Business Improvement District.

The Adams Avenue Business Association (AABA) was established in 1982 and incorporated in 1985 as a private non-profit organization to pursue the above mission and to assist the business owners along Adams Avenue. The governing body is the Board of Directors elected annually from the general membership.  The members are those businesses located along Adams Avenue from Hamilton Street on the west to Vista Street on the east. Membership is contingent upon paying the required City of San Diego’s Business License Tax and the Business Improvement District’s fee both of which are simultaneously collected each year by the City of San Diego. A copy of the City Business Tax Application and information is available online here: Business Tax Information and Business Tax Application

AABA manages the Adams Avenue Business Improvement District and local Maintenance Assessment Districts.  AABA also hosts a number of annual special events which include: Adams Avenue Roots & Folk Festival, Taste of Adams and Adams Avenue Street Fair. These events are operated as community events as well as fundraising activities for the Adams Avenue Business Association.

Some of the past accomplishments of AABA include: sidewalk repairs along Adams Avenue, building a School Annex for the Adams Elementary School, the purchase and installation of Antique style Street Lights Along Adams Avenue, Commissioning and installing neighborhood identity signs on Adams Avenue (Antique row, Normal Heights) and attracting millions of visitors to the business district through the special events over the years.

Adams Avenue Business Association thanks everyone who turned out to make the Casino Night 92116 a great time for all. We enjoyed hosting this event for you and hope you enjoyed the evening, the atmosphere and the prizes.

We hope to host this event for you next year and as usual, make it better and better each year.
